Urubici is a city located in the State of Santa Catarina, in the Highlands of South Brazil (726 km away from São Paulo and 1.021 km from Rio de Janeiro) and 915 meters above the sea level.
 
 
 
 
The annual avarage temperature is around 16°C (aprox. 60°F) and in the winter season (from June to September) goes around -4ºC and -5ºC (22ºF and 24ºF).
 
 
 
 
The nature is the main attraction in the city, offering wonderful and unique landscapes, like the Morro da Igreja (see picture below), one of the highests spot in the State of Santa Catarina (1.822 meters).
 
     
     
   
     
     
     
 
Urubici has a great sort of landscapes like mountains, valleys, canyons, rivers, caves, rock art, cascades and waterfalls - it is the city with the largest number of cascades and waterfalls in the South of Brazil - and has the single National Park of Environmental Conservation in the State. It is also known as the highst inhabited point in the South of Brazil, and one of the coldests cities in the winter season (-17°C / 1.40°F).

Among the large variety of spots, there are some that has to be visited, such as Pedra Furada (see picture above), Avencal Waterfall, Véu de Noiva Cascade (see picture right), Corvo Branco Mountain Ridge and the Caves with Rock Art.
 
The region also offers a great enviroment for adventure activities such as tracking and canyoning.
